Happy Birthday Harry!!
July 31st is Harry Potter's birthday (as well as the birthday of his creator, J.K.
Rowling.) In celebration of the big day Booker T. Worm and Kidsreads.com wanted to give
Harry something really special. So, we waved our wands and came up with:
The Harry Potter Magic Spell Contest!!
Here's What You Do:
Make up a very wizardly sounding spell for Harry and explain how the spell works.
For example, you could give him the "Homeworkus Banishum" spell.
When Harry waves his wand and says those words, his homework assignments disappear ---
but he still gets an A in the class!

All entries are due by August 29, 2001 at 11:59PM ET.

ELIGIBILITY: This contest is open only to legal U.S. residents ages 12 and under,
residing in the 50 United States. The following persons and their dependents are not

HOW TO WIN: Entries must be received before August, 29 2001 at
11:59PM ET. Kidsreads.com is not responsible for entries lost or delayed or not received
for any other reason, or for errors in the entry forms or the rules. Winner also agrees
that Kidsreads.com can promote and publicize the winner's entry in appropriate promotion

August 31, 2001. The winners will have 30 days after notification to respond for

with a special form for this prize verification and shipping information.
HOW TO ENTER: Make up a spell for Harry by devising a very wizardly name
and explaining how the spell works. Send your spell and explanation in an e-mail to
Contests@kidsreads.com. When we receive your e-mail, you will be entered into the random
drawing to win. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries will not be counted.
