SPY KIDS: Hit Movies, Fun Books

The first SPY KIDS was a feature film that proved to be one of the biggest kids' movies to come out in a long time. Now, SPY KIDS 2 is out! Many of you have probably already planned on seeing it. In any case, we've gathered together some of the cool books that tie-in to both films so you can get a closer look at the movie action or re-live your movie-going experience at home. But first things first --- here's a summary of the original SPY KIDS story:

Way back in the 1980s and early 1990s, Gregorio and Ingrid were two of the greatest secret agents in the world. They worked for different countries, taking on dangerous missions that required them to come up with amazing disguises and inventions. One of their crucial missions was to eliminate their biggest enemy --- which turned out to be each other! When they finally came face to face, instead of following through with the elimination plan, Gregorio and Ingrid fell in love and got married.

Fast forward nine years.

Gregorio and Ingrid Cortez are retired, having traded in spy life for family life --- raising daughter Carmen and son Juni. Things seem ordinary enough until Gregorio and Ingrid learn that some of the spies they used to work with are disappearing, one by one. Gregorio and Ingrid believe the disappearances are the work of evil techno-wizard Fegan Floop and his partner in crime, Minion. Gregorio and Ingrid come out of retirement to investigate the situation, but soon they are kidnapped, too!

Now there's only one solution to this huge problem. Carmen and Juni are filled in on what's happening. They must come to grips with the idea that their parents are super spies and, more importantly, they must team up to rescue their mom and dad. Armed with cool spy gadgets and even cooler methods of transportation, Carmen and Juni become true Spy Kids, facing danger and adventure on their way to stopping Floop and bringing home their parents.

Don't miss the newest SPY KIDS movie and the new books that go with it. We know you'll enjoy the thrill ride they provide.
