To celebrate the publication of Patricia Reilly Giff's MAGGIE'S DOOR, Kidsreads.com is running a sweepstakes where readers have a chance to win a copy of MAGGIE'S DOOR plus NORY RYAN'S SONG --- the first book to feature the Ryan's and the Mallon's. OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES FOR MAGGIE'S DOOR/NORY RYAN'S SONG SWEEPSTAKES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to all legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico) and Canada (excluding Quebec). The following persons and their dependents are not eligible to enter or win: employees of Kidsreads.com or The Book Report, Inc. and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of each of the above.

HOW TO ENTER: Contest is open from 9AM ET on September 15, 2003 thru 11:59PM ET on October 31, 2003. While the contest is posted on Kidsreads.com, children can enter the contest by sending an email to Contests@kidsreads.com with the words ENTER ME TO WIN in the subject line.

HOW TO WIN: Total number of eligible entries received determines odds of winning. From all eligible entries received, Kidsreads.com will randomly select three (3) winners on or about November 7, 2003. The winners will each receive one copy of both NORY RYAN'S SONG and MAGGIE'S DOOR by Patricia Reilly Giff (Approximate retail value: $21.45). In the event the Potential Winner is a Canadian resident, he/she (or, if winner is a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) will be required to correctly answer a time-limited skill testing mathematical question to be administered by mail to receive the prize. All email addresses will be deleted from Contests@bookreporter.com by November 10, 2003.

PRIZES: Kidsreads.com will notify the selected winners on or about November 7, 2003. Entrants will be be sent a Prize Redemption Form from Contests@bookreporter.com. This must be filled out to redeem prizes. It will include a Parental Consent Form that must be signed for any entrant under the age of 16 and FAXed or mailed via a phone number and street address that will be provided. The winners will have 30 days after notification to respond for collection of the prize. The winners will each receive one copy of both NORY RYAN'S SONG and MAGGIE'S DOOR by Patricia Reilly Giff (Approximate retail value: $21.45).

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY/RESERVED RIGHTS: Neither the Sponsor, nor the parent, subsidiary or affiliate companies, nor the promotional agencies shall have any obligation or responsibility with regard to (i) entries that contain inaccurate information or do not comply with these rules, (ii) entries, prize claims or notifications that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, damaged or otherwise not received by the intended recipient, in whole or in part, due to computer or technical error of any kind, (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or (iv) any damages or losses of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize. The Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Web Site or otherwise violating these rules. The Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes if the Sweepstakes cannot be completed as planned because of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
