I received so many e-mails from our readers about our Martin Luther King, Jr. feature that I decided to tell you about another book that you might find interesting. Miracle's Boys is a story about twelve-year-old Lafayette and his older brothers. It isn't easy growing up in New York City, where Lafayette and his brothers are on their own after the death of their parents. This is a gripping story that offers a look at life in modern-day Harlem, and pays tribute to the powerful love these brothers have for each other.

Lots of people have Super Bowl parties to celebrate watching the big game on TV and cheer for their favorite team. And people who don't even like the game of football often tune in to the Super Bowl to see some of the commercials that air during the game and to see which big music stars are participating in the halftime show. My favorite book is -- HATCHET because Gary Paulson has a unique way to put an image in a person's head. HATCHET is about a boy who surrvied from a plane crash and he tries so hard to bear his hunger. He suddenly finds a tornado swopping at his shelter... he has to start the way he started off in the beginning of the story. Suddenly... he spots a survival pack ...???? I don't want to tell you the rest, see for yourself!

I have always loved reading and I want to tell everybody about a great author named Tamora Pierce. She has written the greatest books!! There is the Song of the Lioness quartet, Wild Magic quartet, and a new series coming out called Protector of the Small. If you like fantasy books, you'll love these books! If you read them, make sure to start the books in the order that I have written them here, because some of the same characters are in all three of the books. READ THESE BOOKS!!

I like to read Harry Potter & Judy Blume's books. My favorite Judy Blume book is "Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing". The funniest chapter is "The Birthday Bash" because when Fudge's friend Jennie saw the turtle in the water she had to use the bathroom and she did not know where to go so she potties right on the carpet.

The Fufu Story

Once upon at time in a little cottage on the edge of the woods, there lived a purple elephant with pink toenails. His name was Fufu. One morning, Fufu woke up and went outside to get some fresh air. There, at the end of his drive was was a motorcycle! Fufu had always wanted to ride a motercycle, so he jumped on. When Fufu had went on the motercycle, he had forgotten that elephants with pink toenails could not drive motorcycles. Soon, he crashed into a very big tree where he found an osterich. Not just any ostrich, but a flying one! He hopped on its back and it flew away. It flew into the Pacific Ocean, and Fufu let go by an accident. He fell into the ocean and met a 9-legged octopus. His name was Ed. Fufu stayed with Ed for a while, until Ed tryed to strangle Fufu with its 9 arms. Fufu swam away to Hawaii, and lived happily ever after eating torquise coconuts. (He's still in his PJs)
