A NOTE FROM BOOKER
Hello!
I have to tell you about my new neighbor. Her name is Rita Fiction, and she just moved in the house on the corner. She is really nice, and I took a welcome basket to her yesterday afternoon. I filled it with a book, some hot chocolate mix, a list of the best bookstores around here, and a flower. I thought it would be a nice way to meet her and help her to make a new friend. She is so nice! She is also a really pretty worm, and is green, just like me! My nephew named Text Reader thinks I should ask Rita Fiction out on a date. I think I will wait for that.
I think I will make her a Valentine's Day gift to give to her. Since she is new here, she may not get any Valentines, and that would make me feel sad. I have a neat book full of ideas for making some Valentine's candies and pretty cards. I might make her something chocolate, and then put a homemade card on the gift box. What do you think of that idea? Text Reader said he thought Rita Fiction would probably fall in love with me if I gave her a Valentine gift. Yikes! I am not sure I am ready for that.
If you want to read about Valentine's Day and get some ideas of books that have ideas for making your own Valentine's Day gifts, you can read the reviews of books we have gathered here. Be careful! If you make a nice gift or card, you might get someone to fall in love with you!

BOOK REVIEWS:
THE ADVENTURES OF SUPER DIAPER BABY
George and Harold get into trouble at school. For punishment, the boys have to clean the gym floor and write a 100-page essay on "Good Citizenship," with strict instructions not to turn in a 100-page "Captain Underpants" comic book. The boys go home and create the greatest world protector ever known to potty training, Super Diaper Baby. Be sure to read THE ADVENTURES OF SUPER DIAPER BABY in private or only around people who know you --- anyone else might think you're crazy for laughing out loud, seemingly at random.
REPLICA 21: VIRTUAL AMY
Amy looks normal and goes to school just like everybody else, but Andy, Chris and Eric know her secret. Amy is a genetically altered creation of a team of scientists. She has supernormal abilities. Chris is a clone of his father, created to be spare parts in case his father ever needed them. Andy is from another, earlier project than Amy. Andy disappears and now an organization is after Amy. How will they get Andy back? Will their plan work? You'll have to read REPLICA 21: VIRTUAL AMY to find out!

Dear Bookworms:
I want to tell you all about an exciting new book coming out very soon, called The Firestone. It's about a beautiful but very powerful and dangerous jewel which is lodged deep in the mines of the Fortress. Two people both want to get this jewel for their own reasons. One is Depostor, the wily and ruthless Leader of the Guardians, a group of black magicians who Depostor has gathered to discover the secret of how to control the Firestone. The other is D'nescha, a disguised high elf-lord, who has been charged by the High Council to remove the deadly jewel from the Fortress before it can wreak any more disaster.
This story is full of action and marvellous characters. If you want an exciting adventure after Harry Potter, keep your eyes and ears open. The Firestone is coming!

I cant find anything to read. Nothing, I can't find anything to read. I read a bunch of sammy keyes books, and animorphs, and princess diaries, and royal diaries, Dear Americas. I am going to see if the book called "The witch of blackbird pond " is any good. I love! good native american books and good mysteries.
*****
I was shocked and apalled yesterday when I overheard the librarian asking a kid who was getting out a Harry Potter book if he was allowed to read them. I never thought the horrors of Anti-Harry Potter could spread to my town. I just want to say to all those people out there that think Harry Potter is bad because it has witches and stuff in it that our priest reads the Harry potter books and says that they're okay. The "bad witchcraft" (as you call it) is just a backround for the important morals it teaches, such as- love is greater than evil, if you do something bad you'll pay for it somewhere along the line, and that it's not the abilities you have in life, but what you do with them that counts.

I just finished reading I'm not who you think I am by Peg Kehret. It was fantastic! It's about this girl, Ginger, who is celebrating her 13th birthday party at her favorite restaurant. All of the sudden this strange woman comes up to her and tells her happy birthday. At first she doesn't think anything about it. But then, the woman starts following her and keeps trying to talk to her. Another conflict in the book is Ginger's favorite teacher, Mr.Wren, was accused of being a bad coach and telling the girls basketball team to lose. Ginger however has a video tape that could save his job. However, the lady that accused him gives Ginger's sister a lot of business for her catering job. Does Ginger turn in the tape, risking her sisters job? What happens with the strange woman following Ginger? You'll have to read it to find out!

I read this book called "Lily's Crossing" it takes place in New York during World War Two. Lily's mother died when she was young and now her father and grandmother live together. For the summer they go to Rockaway for vacation. Lily has a best friend that lives in Rockaway. They play together all summer, but this summer was different. Lily's friends dad had to move with his family. Lily was very sad. Then, Lily's dad had to go to the war as a macanic. She meets a boy named Albert and pays no attention to him. This book was written by Patricia Riley Giff. This book is very exciting and has a great plot.

I read this cool book called "Shadow Spinner".It's all about Islamic culture and how a crippled woman tells the queen stories so the queen can tell the story to the Sultan and not get herself killed. She does this because the Sultan killed his wives every night,so she was smart and thought up a plan.

I got quite a few responses in the newsletter! I will answer them right now...
I was the person who mentioned the Wrinkle In Time.....
It's supposedly supposed to.But I don't think that the movie will be coming to thearters.Your welcome!!
It's really good that you could read the book at age 7!! That's very talented.Hope you understood it!!
Some people are good readers, they have a talent for it,and that's good. It's good that we have so many talented people that have subscribed to this newsletter!!
Now I am going to answer some other questions and things...
I wish we had a Writer's Award or a Reading Award! I would most definetly win it,as I want to be a Writer when I grow up! (and possibly work for a local library,if I would have time).
One person wanted a book suggestion! If your a Dog lover, and you've read a lot of books, and there's a dog in it,doesn't that dong always seem to die? If you feel the same way as me about that, you HAVE to read No More Dead Dogs by Gordan Korman. It's really good and it is about a boy who gets put on dention because he likes to tell the truth and the book the class is reading has a dog that dies in it.He gets put on detieon because he makes the teacmer mad about the book because the book is his teacher's favorite. He has to come to the play recitals every day(the play is based on the book the class was reading)and he ends up making the play a lot better and gets out of dention by doing that. You have to read this book! It is very very funny!!
When I read the Harry Potter series the first time,I didn't think that Hermione liked neither Ron nor Harry. But after my parent's read the books, they were saying how they think that Hermione is sweet on Harry, not Ron.And that it'd make sense, because Hermione is book-smart,where Harry is more of adventure-smart,but if you think really hard, they have a lot in common, and they go more together. And who can explain why Hermione kissed Ron at the end of book 4?
The Lemony Snicket books are very good.I've read all the book from 1-4,and I don't have number 5 but I will have it in 2 weeks or so,but I started to read the first chapter in book six and it spoiled some stuff in book 5.So here is some advice-read the Lemony Snicket books in order!!!
I would think that it would be hard to read 32 books at one time? It's possible though,I guess,if you can find the exact spot where you ended in a book without a bookmark.I can do that very easily, lol.
