October 2006

Now that A Series of Unfortunate Events has come to an end, what did you like most about the series?

I liked a lot of the parts because they have such cool adventures.

*****

The beginning --- I like it when Lemony Snicket says, "if you like happy endings please don't readi this book." It makes me read more.

*****

Nothing! It's was so negative and it's a real downer. I like postive stories. :)

*****

I liked that what happened wasn't always good things that turn out to be bad.

*****

It's always full of suspense!!

*****

I liked the secrets the most. VFD, the question mark thing, and most of all, my jaw dropped open when I found what Mrs. Baudelaire's name was. Even though THE END came now, it feels like my questions still haven't been answeered.....

*****

What I liked about the series was that Mr. Snicket always kept you hanging at the end of every book. Just like the mystery of V.F.D., I also like how the series was ended.

*****

I liked when they got into trouble, and that there was always another mystery coming. But mostly, I like each and every part of this series!

*****

The fact that we still don't have all the answers. Actually, that's what I liked AND hated most about the series :)

*****

I liked that once a question was answered, a new mystery came to hand. This happened throughout the whole series.

*****

Well, I have not finished the whole series yet since I am on book 5, but so far, I like the fact that the end of the books keep you guessing. I like to be able to feel as if I have a craving for a certain book or novel, and that really helped incorparate reading into my daily experiences.

*****

What I liked most about the series is that Jim Carey dies at the end, and I can't wait til they come out with the second part.

*****

It was very exiting, I never could put the books down without finishing the whole book. My mom would have to force me to put them down. At first, when I saw the movie, I thought it would be nice to read the books. But afterwards, I thought maybe they weren't as exciting as I thought they'd be, since they needed to use the first three books to make the movie. Boy, was I wrong! When I first started, I wanted to be the first one to finish the books, but now I wish I could read them again. I was really disappointed in the last book --- I thought the the Bauldelaires were going to die. I'm probably one of the Bauldelairs' biggest fans. Not that I wanted them to die...

*****

The dog.

*****

Well, I think it's was very sad in the first place. But it turned out great!

*****

There are three things I like best about this series. First, the story is loaded with fantastic vocabulary. Secondly, I enjoy watching the children think their way out of bad situations. And finally, my third grade students love to hear the stories and are trying to read their way through the entire series this year.

*****

I liked all the dramatic things that happened to the children. The sad part about it is that it is all coming to an end.

*****

I liked every book, but the best had to be CARNIVOROUS CARNIVAL.

*****

I didn't like that the Bauldalaires never really found love, thatthey never experienced a kiss goodnight or a hug. I did like the fact that the books ended with cliffhangers, and if you wanted to find out what happened next, you had to get the next book. I also liked how mysterious Lemony Snicket was, his profile at the back of the book had a picture that was kind of dark and blurry of a man with a dark-colored hat who wasn't even facing you.

*****
