I loved the book REBECCA by Daphne du Maurier! It was thrilling classic filled of spine-tingling mystery, but at the same time, heartwarming romance. REBECCA tells the story of a woman (the unnamed protagonist) who marries into a wealthy family, but feels haunted by her husband's late wife, Rebecca. She feels that Rebecca follows her and is also tormented by the wicked, sinister maid of the manor. As the heroine delves further into her husband's past, she discovers many secrets about him. Rebecca is a classic that tells a tale of love, tragedy, and murder!

My favorite book that I have read for a book project this year was GILDA JOYCE, PSYCHIC INVESTIGATOR. It was about a 12-year old girl who could contact the dead (the supernatural) and went to visit her distant cousin in Los Angeles. It was REALLY a great book!

My favorite book that I did a report on was for HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE. I didn't actually do a writing report on it, I decided to get a little creative and did a project on it instead. I made a cardboard box of Gryffindor and Slytherin playing Quidditch, with Harry and Malfoy trying to get the Golden Snitch, and Harry in the lead, of course. The funny thing is that when I brought it into school, in a way, I stuck out like a sore thumb, because when everyone had their written reports I came in with this cardboard box project. But I passed anyway for doing such a good job and for being the most creative. I was the last one to present, and after that, we all had a good laugh --- and I mean we had a REALLY good laugh. Then, the principal came in to see what the heck we were all laughing at and we told her, and then she also started laughing. This one kid and I both laughed so hard that we had to be taken to the nurse's office. It's a good thing that there are two beds so me and him wouldn't try and squeeze into just one. But that was definitely a funny day of school.
