What was your favorite memory about a book, a series or a character you read this summer?
My favorite memory of a book I read this summer was in Ella Enchanted. It was the part where Ella and Char were sliding down the banister! It sounded like so much fun. Ella Enchanted is one of the greatest books ever

In the series The Baby-sitters Club, Mallory goes to a boarding school, yet she finds out that her roommate is very mean. She tries to communicate with her and understand her, but it just doesn't work out. In the end she moves in with another girl that is really nice, unlike her last roommate. She has taught me to be brave when things are new and scary. Plus, we should all try to get to know one another and not judge them at first sight.

This summer, I had the privilege of reading two exceptional and powerful books. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling and Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Although I enjoyed both books, I will never forget George Milton from the book Of Mice and Men. I believe that he represented a person striving to obtain the American Dream and depicted how every individual, no matter what race, gender or age, should persevere to accomplish that dream.
