What book did you most recently purchase or take out from the library?

The Wide Window
Because of Winn Dixie
The Tiger Rising

*****

I most recently took Jacob Have I Loved.

*****

I took out a book from my favorite series (Thoroughbred). The book I took out was number 13 and the title is Cindy's Runaway Colt. I have only read three of the books from that series. The first one was A Horse Called Wonder, the second one was Wonder's Promise, the third one was Wonder's Victory. I am the sort of person who likes to read a book only once, but I love the Thoroughbred series --- I've read it twice.

I recently purchased Wolf Brother by Michelle Paver, and a couple of books from the Fearless series and from the Charmed series. These are all VERY good books! Read them!

*****

Scorpia, the new Alex Rider book. The ending is such a cliffhanger that I so desperately wanted to find out what happened next. I was ready to throw the book out the window because it was so mean of Anthony Horowitz to leave such a dramatic cliffhanger.

*****

Little House in the Big Wood by Laura Ingalls Wilder

*****

Olivia Saves the Circus (In Spanish: Olivia Salva el Circo) for my 5-year-old boy's birthday on May 15th. He and his sister just adored the first book and laughed their heads off --- and still do every time I read it. This is their second Olivia book and they have enjoyed it too, but perhaps not as much as the first one. I would definitely recommend both books and we are looking forward to buying Olivia and the Missing Toy, which was missing from the bookstore! In fact, all they had left were two copies of the book I bought! Keep up the good work with your great site. I'll recommend it to my daughter's English teacher. Saludos desde la Ciudad de México.

*****

I took out Eragon by Christopher Paolini and The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.

*****

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (for the 5th time)
