Besides Harry Potter, what's your favorite series?

The Shadow Children by Margaret Peterson Haddix. A thrilling series about a boy named Luke who must eventually learn to respond only to the name Lee.

I loved all six books in the Among the Hidden series. I read them all in like one month! They are great books and I hope she writes another.

My favorite series would have to be the Underland Chronicles! I love all the books in the series! I can't wait for the fourth book in the series to come out!

My kids and I all love The Wilderking Trilogy by Jonathan Rogers. So far, the first two books are The Bark of the Bog Owl and The Secret of the Swamp King. They're published by Broadman & Holman and are a blast to read --- hilarious, yet also offering good character lessons that make parents happy.

If you are older (10-15) and love fantasy-adventure try Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdom. Also, Philip Pullman and Cornelia Funke write fantasy. Dragon Rider was one of her best!!! No one can top Harry Potter for fun and fantasy though!

I probably would choose A Series of Unfortunate Events. There isn't any other series I really like. The Chronicles of Narnia are ok, but I don't really like the plot of it. Harry Potter is actually the only one I can't bother to wait for.

The Little House on the Prairie series. I love anything Laura Ingalls Wilder has written. I also love the TV series based on the books. Laura Ingalls Wilder is the best writer and I hate Harry Potter.

My cousin loves Harry Potter, so I guess she would have to say you are crazy not to put Harry Potter as a choice, and she probably wishes she could write Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. But for me, I would say Cornelia Funke's Inkspell because it made me want to read aloud and hope that Meggie would apear on my bed!

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events because it's so original and different. And although you can tell Count Olaf is in disguise again, there is still suspense, action, and mischief that drags you right into the book. I have not finished reading the series, but have just finished the sixth book. These books are brilliant and I would definitely recommend them. They're GREAT!
