CALEB'S STORY
by Patricia MacLachlan
HarperCollins
ISBN: 0060236051
Ages 8-10
128 pages

In this lastest book in the series, Anna is almost grown. She's got a boyfriend and a job, and she moves into town. Caleb is the oldest at home now, taking care of his little sister Cassie like Anna took care of him. And Anna gives him her journals, with clean blank ones for Caleb to fill. She tells him that he is in charge of recording the family history now.

Caleb isn't sure about this last part. He can't write the family story! But Anna has confidence in him. "You'll figure it out, Caleb. One page at a time," she tells him.

Well, maybe. But Caleb wonders, what's to write about? Then Cassie discovers a mysterious man by the barn.

Who is he? What does his coming mean for the family? One thing is for sure --- Caleb certainly has a story to write in his journals!
