Barry McGee is hero to his teammates on the Peach Street Mudders. He can bat better than anyone they know. In fact, Barry is their hit-away batter. But Barry has a problem --- he likes winning too much! He often does things on the field or at bat that are the opposite of what the coach has told him to do. He wants to be the hero and thinks he can make that happen by making his own decisions instead of listening to the coach.
He also isn't above bending the rules to win. And this just might be his biggest problem of all. During a recent game Barry dropped a fly ball, but when no one saw it happen, he cheated and said he caught the ball. Now a pitcher for the opposing team is offering him a "deal" --- which could cost him much more than a game. Will he play along or play fair? Read the exciting story to see if Barry chooses to do the right thing.
