Theodore Vernon Adams, known to his friends as T.V., has a very special talent. He can predict where a batter is going to hit the ball almost every time. T.V. has never thought about it much, he just does it naturally, and he often annoys his teammates by telling them where to move to be ready to field the ball. The coach tells him it's a great skill and maybe he'll turn out to be a coach himself someday. Wow! But when T.V. learns that a newspaper reporter has noticed his talent and referred to him in a news story as a possible psychic, he's not too thrilled. He doesn't want people thinking he's psychic. What's worse, someone is calling him on the phone, making threats if he continues to use his ability to predict the hits in the next game. What's T.V. going to do? Should he keep quiet, and risk having his team lose?
