From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess

Return to Genovia and the world of the beloved Princess Diaries series with 12-year-old Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison, a completely average 12-year-old (except for her name, her ability to draw animals and the fact that she is a half orphan who has never met her father and has been forced to live with her aunt and step-uncle).

But when a limo containing Princess Mia Thermopolis of Genovia (!!!) arrives, Olivia's off to New York to finally meet her father, who promptly invites her to come live with him, Mia, Grandmère and her two fabulous poodles. Maybe Olivia isn't so average after all!

Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison is a completely average 12-year-old. Then one completely average day, everything goes wrong...Until a limo containing Princess Mia Thermopolis of Genovia pulls up to invite her to New York to finally meet her father. Maybe Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison isn't so average after all!

Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison still finds it hard to believe that she's a real live princess of Genovia. While her half-sister Mia is busy learning how to take over the country while trying to plan a wedding, her father is getting remarried himself, and spends most of his time "renovating" the summer palace, although Grandmere says he is just hiding from the wedding preparations. Fortunately, Grandmere has her own plans for Mia's wedding, and needs Olivia's help to pull them off. Just when Olivia starts to think that things are going to work out after all, the palace is invaded by a host of new cousins and other royals who all seem to be angry at Olivia. Can Olivia keep this royal wedding from becoming a royal disaster?

by Meg Cabot - Children's 8-12, Family Life, Fiction

Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison is turning thirteen. Even better, she’s finally starting to get the hang of this princess thing. Just in time, too, since her half-sister, Princess Mia Thermopolis, is expected to give birth to twins any day now! It’s pretty much the worst time possible for a school field trip, but everyone is insisting that Olivia must attend the Royal School Winter Games. Between Grandmère chaperoning, Olivia’s snobby cousin Luisa complaining about her relationship woes and everyone insisting that Olivia has a crush on Prince Khalil, things are quickly turning into a royal mess!
