Meet third-grader Grace Stewart, who gets stuck with the name “Just Grace” when she tries to distinguish herself from the three other Graces in her class. Grace is plenty different, though. She has a “teeny-tiny superpower,” for instance --- she can tell if someone is unhappy and often tries to fix it. But sometimes her good intentions backfire....

Grace loves cats. She also loves taking pictures of cats and drawing Not-So Super comics. She doesn’t like Sammy Stringer, a boy in her class. She’s got lots and lots of ideas, and when her neighbor’s cat goes missing, Grace does her best to make Mrs. Luther feel less lonely. But as the mystery of the missing cat continues, Grace’s well-intentioned plan backfires, and she finds herself in a bit of trouble. Maybe, just maybe, Sammy Stringer will help her through.

When Grace has to go away on a family trip during school, she is terrified that when she comes back Mimi will be best friends with Max instead! After her trip, not only does it seem her fear has come true, but Mimi is even friends with the disgusting Sammy. Now Just Grace has to team up with two other Graces in her third-grade class for a school project, including the Big Meanie.

Grace's third-grade class is researching foods of the world, a topic suggested by the principal after he overhears Owen, the class troublemaker, ridiculing another student's lunch. That night, Grace's neighbor gives her a bag of delicious roast-chicken-flavored potato chips from France, so she decides to study unusual potato chips of the world. Harper once again gets the emotions just right. The child is jealous when her dad seems more interested in her best friend's project than in hers. She gains a greater respect for troublemaking Owen when she misbehaves, and instead of tattling on her, he takes the blame.

And just when she thinks things can’t get worse, her team votes down her idea to build a cupcake Eiffel Tower in favor of building Spiderman.

Grace has lots of new and exciting things to share in the latest addition to the Just Grace series! There's a new crossing guard in town named Marie who needs a bit of help making friends, a fun substitute teacher for Miss Lois, and most exciting, Grace and Mimi are going to have their own table at the craft fair! They are going to make lots of crafts to sell --- and hopefully save up enough money to go to the county fair.
