The Ghost Sitter

Review

The Ghost Sitter

written by Peni R. Griffin, illustrated by Susan Van Metre

Charlotte knows she's going to have a great summer. Her family has just moved into a new home and she's eager to get comfortable with the house and the neighborhood. She doesn't even mind that she has to baby-sit for her little brother much of the time. But as the summer moves along, Charlotte realizes she's not the only baby-sitter in the house. Slowly she discovers that the house is haunted by 10-year-old Susan, a girl who doesn't know she's dead and who has been waiting 50 years for her own family to return. In this clever and shivery (but not TOO shivery) tale, you'll see two different points of view --- one from the living world and one from the ghostly realm. Great fun!
