The Kane Chronicles Survival Guide
While no advanced degree in ancient Egyptian history is necessary to enjoyThe Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan, it’s sometimes easy to get lost among all the descriptive and interesting details Riordan inserts into his books. Thankfully, a handy dandy survival guide is available for you to catch up on everything you’ve been missing and much, much more.
"[I]f you’re feeling a little lost, want to know more about ancient Egypt, or just craving more information about The Kane Chronicles, then this survival guide will be the perfect addition to the already great series."
The guide comes with sections devoted to the major characters in the series, including the Kane siblings, along with vivid descriptions and pictures of the important gods, goddesses, dark deities, and beastly beings. While you may have already formed a picture in your mind of Serqet, the scorpion goddess, the added illustration and information will only make you more likely to check your sheets before you go to bed.
One thing I really appreciate about this survival guide is the inclusion of the different hieroglyphs, symbols and commands that Sadie and Carter Kane use throughout the series. These aspects sometimes fly by in the books amidst all the action, and in the guide you really get the chance to learn more about their origins and explore at your own pace. The same goes for the guides through the House of Life and the different magical places the Kanes visit in the series. All of this information really solidified in my mind what happened in the books, and I got a clearer picture of where everything was taking place.
So if you’re feeling a little lost, want to know more about ancient Egypt, or just craving more information about The Kane Chronicles, then this survival guide will be the perfect addition to the already great series.
