Narnia
 |
Long before Harry Potter discovered Platform 9 and 3/4, four English
children --- Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan --- traveled through an
ordinary-looking clothes closet (wardrobe) and found themselves in
a magical world called Narnia. Their adventures are at the heart of
THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE and the other six novels that
make up the Chronicles of Narnia.
THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE was first published in 1950,
the first book about Narnia (even though it's considered #2 in the
series' chronological order). To celebrate this classic book's 50th
birthday, we've gathered up reviews of all seven Narnia titles, a
biography of author C. S. Lewis
and a few trivia questions.
Here's the order of the books as they were published:
1950 --- THE LION, THE WITCH AND
THE WARDROBE
1951 --- PRINCE CASPIAN
1952 --- THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN
TREADER
1953 --- THE SILVER CHAIR
1954 --- THE HORSE AND HIS BOY
1955 --- THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW
1956 --- THE LAST BATTLE
And here's how they fall chronologically, according to the events
in the story (This is how they are numbered by publisher HarperCollins):
THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW
THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE
THE HORSE AND HIS BOY
PRINCE CASPIAN
THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER
THE SILVER CHAIR
THE LAST BATTLE
So dive into these titles for an amazing ride to a fantasy world you'll
not soon forget.
