SAMANTHA, 1904
Samantha Parkington is a nine-year-old orphan who lives with her very
wealthy grandmother. Between Grandmary, Jessie the seamstress, Elsa
the maid, Hawkins the butler and Mrs. Hawkins the cook, lots of people
are trying to help Samantha become a proper Victorian young lady complete
with frilly dresses, hair ribbons and good manners. But her life isn't
