1. Bruce actually based the character Rod Allbright, the hero of ALIENS ATE MY HOMEWORK, on himself. His wife even used pictures of him as a kid for inspiration while doing the illustrations!



2. Bruce has four pets in all --- three cats named Ike, Thunder, and Princess Pozma Fuzzibutt and a dog, or rather a jet-propelled Norwegian elkhound, named Thor.



3. His favorite movie of all time is Close Encounters of the Third Kind.



4. Bruce gets about three thousand fan letters a year from kids and adults!



5. One of Bruce's favorite hobbies is acting. In fact, he directs, casts and stars in the audiotape versions of his books.
