Author Information
As a child, Judith Greenburg was very curious and inquisitive. She always wanted to know how things worked and was especially interested in living things, such as flies, snakes, spiders, fish and, of course, people.
Ms. Greenburg has found answers to her questions by reading books, surfing the Internet and talking to other people. She has always been eager to expand her knowledge while sharing it with others, which is why she decided to write the Andrew Lost books. In addition to creating this series, Ms. Greenburg has co-written and edited many science books for young people. She frequently visits schools to read to students and enjoys listening to their comments and answering any questions they may have.
Ms. Greenburg isn't the only writer in her family. She is married to Dan Greenburg, the author of the popular series The Zack Files and Maximum Boy. They have a son named Zack who, according to Ms. Greenburg, is an excellent writer. Ms. Greenburg loves nature very much and enjoys going on adventure vacations with her family. While many of us may consider visiting an amusement park the most fun we've ever had, the Greenburgs receive thrills in very different ways. Ms. Greenburg once visited a nature center in Texas to learn about tigers. She and her family swam with dolphins in Florida and took an airboat trip through the Everglades to get close to the alligators. And if that's not fascinating enough, they also travelled to Hawaii to learn how to communicate with dolphins. While there, they flew in a helicopter over a fiery volcano and walked over lava beds.
Ms. Greenburg is certainly living life to the fullest. Her many exciting adventures and the scientific knowledge she has acquired over the years are reflected in the ANDREW LOST series, which are remarkably both suspenseful and educational.
