JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES
Fans of Jackie Chan, that fast and funny master of kung-fu, now have a fun new way to keep up with his adventures. In addition to his movies and his animated show, kids can follow all the action in the new series of books entitled JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES. Based on the animated series, JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES tell the story of Jackie’s efforts to find 12 powerful talisman before they fall into the wrong hands!
Each book comes with a trading card and a chart to help you figure out which sign of the Chinese Zodiac you were born under. Are you an ox? A rat? A horse? Check out the special page in the middle of each book to find out. Also, each story ends with a special message from Jackie, reminding readers of the important lessons discussed in the book. The action in each book in the series is fast-paced and almost as exciting as seeing Jackie’s amazing moves at the movies!
In book one, THE DARK HAND, we join Jackie as he searches for a golden shield. He doesn't know what special power part of the shield possesses, but he soon learns that an evil group known as The Dark Hand wants to get the shield away from him. Jackie’s niece Jade helps Jackie stay one step ahead of the bad guys, even though she drives Jackie crazy!
In the second book, JADE’S SECRET POWER, The Dark Hand continues to harass Jackie, Jade and their uncle, but somehow Jade finds herself with a magical power that helps her save the day. This book, like all the others, is full of action and is very funny --- especially the way Jade gets her secret power!
In SIGN OF THE OX, Jackie and Jade go to Mexico to find the ox talisman and end up getting involved in some pretty strange wrestling matches. The Dark Hand is on their trail, too, and Jackie his niece have to make new friends to achieve their goal and outwit their enemies.
ENTER . . . THE VIPER is full of suspense as Jackie tries to get a talisman out of a museum without getting arrested! Things don’t go quite as planned as another person, the Viper, steals a jewel from the museum at the same time. Once again, Jade helps Jackie work through his confusion and stay out of trouble as they seek to battle both The Dark Hand and the Viper.
A fifth book, SHENDU ESCAPES!, was released this month.
