1. Wendelin is a computer science instructor at the local high school in her town; she also coordinates the yearbook and manages the school newspaper.



2. Wendelin is a part time singer in a rock band!!



3. Wendelin's favorite ages were from nine to eleven. During those years she joined the Girl Scouts and started camping and backpacking. She's a self-proclaimed tomboy --- a lot like Sammy Keyes!!



4. Wendelin gets up every morning at 5AM to go running with her Siberian Husky.



5. SAMMY KEYES AND THE HOTEL THIEF was awarded the 1999 Edgar Award for Best Children's Mystery and SAMMY KEYES AND THE CURSE OF MOUSTACHE MARY was nominated for the award in 2001.
