Jamie Maxwell has racing in her blood. Even her father, NASCAR driver Dale Maxwell, sees the potential his daughter has to make it in the elite professional racing circles. Still, he sometimes holds her back from moving up to the next level, which confuses and frustrates her to no end. As a Christian, Dale strives for balance in every area of his life; racing is no exception. Jamie isn’t too sure about where she stands on all these religious issues. She is focused on racing and winning, and nothing is going to stop her. Not even her number-one competitor, Chad Devalon --- whose own father, Butch, races against Jamie’s dad --- is going to get in her way as she proves to the world that a girl can win at racing.
If putting her energies into winning that next race isn’t enough, Jamie has to contend with fellow NASCAR enthusiast Tim Carhardt, whose father was killed on the racetrack in a freak accident. The Maxwells want to move Tim into the family home, but Tim isn’t so sure he wants to accept their offer. Even though life with his cousins is pretty bad, Tim’s experience with Christians hasn’t been much better. Between the two of them, Jamie and Tim discover that satisfaction and success don’t always come by physical strength or determination alone; it’s a spiritual gift from a powerful God.
