1. Jon's is a very Polish last name which you pronounce like: Shess-ka. It rhymes with Fresca.



2. Before Jon became a full time author, he was a lifeguard, a magazine writer, a painter in New York City, and a teacher. The subjects he taught were varied --- math, computers, science, and history --- as were the grades he taught, which ranged from 1st through 8th.



3. Rumor has it that The Time Warp Trio is being turned into a television series on PBS, to premiere sometime this year or early 2002. Whoohoo!



4. Jon wore a bedsheet toga while writing IT'S ALL GREEK TO ME. Lane refused to wear a toga. He does like Greek salad, though.



5. Jon and Lane were friends before they started writing books together. They first met each other through their wives (who are both artists working at magazines). And things have never been the same since...
