"MONSTERS BEWARE! is the Pringles of children’s books --- once you start, you can’t stop!...Grabs the reader from the start with its fun storyline, entertaining characters and awesomely drawn images."

For those unfamiliar with Claudette, she’s a strong-headed redhead who always wants to fight the bad guys and be a true warrior, just like her parents. As Mont Petit Pierre’s reluctantly chosen warrior in the Warrior Games, she wants to compete in the Warrior Games just like her late mother. Her brother Gaston is less interested in fighting, and cares more for the magic gifted to him to create delicious treats that he sells from his magic Gelato stand. Their best friend Princess Marie joins the siblings in the Warrior Games, powered by her loyalty to her friends and sophisticated diplomacy. The three warriors are not only fighting to win the competition; if they lose, they must renounce their love of fighting, magic and friendship. A lot is at stake here!

At the very start of the Warrior Games begins, nothing goes as expected. Claudette struggles with the new challenges and how to accept defeat, Gaston finds very scary secrets and must muster the courage he desperately lacks to keep everyone safe and Marie discovers polite manners are not ideal when confronting monsters --- no matter how sweet they originally seemed. On top of everything else, the tenacious trio has to stop the Evil Sea Queen and her children from awakening the dark wizard Grombach from his amber entombed slumber. If the Sea Kingdom succeeds, it will mean the destruction of the world --- both on land and on sea.

MONSTERS BEWARE! is the Pringles of children’s books --- once you start, you can’t stop! This story is hard to put down as it grabs the reader from the start with its fun storyline, entertaining characters and awesomely drawn images.

Rafael Rosado is a great artist who draws in many styles within the book. Rosado draws each character with a deliberate level of complexity, and adds more elements into the more complex characters and settings. Jorge Aguirre writes the story to not only fit the audience, but to each character’s individuality. MONSTERS BEWARE! tells the story of young kids fighting monsters, challenging destinies written out for them (but are not for them) and creating their own answers. This book talks about feminism, independent thinking and why doing the right thing is more important than winning a competition.
