About the Book

The Search for Sunken Treasure, Book 25

Geronimo's Aunt Sweetfur arrives in Geronimo's office with urgent tidings. She has also invited Thea and Trap to inform them that she's found the journal of her long-lost seafaring husband, Grayfur. According to the diary, Grayfur's last voyage was to look for treasure near the Ratlapagos Islands. Sweetfur must go see the places Grayfur visited on his last trip, and she wants Geronimo, Thea and Trap to come along.

When Geronimo researches, he discovers that the lost treasure is 13 precious diamonds, carried by the ship The Golden Rind, which vanished in 1713. How intriguing! Geronimo and company, including nephew Benjamin, cannot resist this mystery --- and before you can say "cheddar or Swiss?" they are off on their next adventure.

Unfortunately for Geronimo (and his stomach), Thea feels she must demonstrate trick maneuvers in her airplane. But Geronimo's travel terrors aren't over when the plane ride ends because next he must endure a boat ride. How much does Geronimo hate being seasick? He almost jumps overboard.

In a port diner, Trap opens his trap about the hidden treasure to a bunch of sailors. So much for keeping it a secret! As they search the ocean for the sunken ship, they notice a suspicious boat following them. Even more ominously for Geronimo, everyone expects him to scuba dive. He can't. Truly. But he does.

Will Geronimo's quest to find the lost treasure be successful? Will he survive encounters with some bad guys, a terrible storm, more seasickness, and (maybe even the worst trauma of all) Trap's cooking?
