The True Adventures of Esther the Wonder Pig

Written by Steve Jenkins, Derek Walter and Caprice Crane with illustrations by Cori Doerrfeld

This is the true story of a "little" pig named Esther. Her two dads, Steve and Derek, adopted Ester when she was six weeks old. She was so cute and so cuddly. The way she looked at them "with those eyes and that smile...it was love."

She was supposed to be a miniature pig, but she kept growing and growing and growing and growing. She "helped" her dads with their gardening. She stole snacks when no one was looking. Every time they wanted to scold her she would look at them "with those eyes and that smile...it was love." She was certainly a handful, but she was so cute and so loveable they couldn't stay mad at her for long.

"This is a delightful story told about a delightful pig, enhanced with delightful illustrations."

Her dads already had two dogs and two cats. So when Esther got too big (over 600 pounds), they sold their house and moved to a farm where Esther, and all of them, would have room. They even adopted more animals. Esther was still a handful, but she was still so cute and so loveable they couldn't stay mad at her for long.

One day, Esther went missing. They couldn't find her anywhere. They were afraid she was gone forever, and that made all of them --- her two dads, the two dogs, the two cats and all the other animals on the farm --- very, very sad. "She was their girl. She was part of the family.  And families come in all shapes and sizes." They were thrilled when they found Esther eating the apples off the neighbor's tree. They weren't thrilled about Ether being naughty, but they were thrilled to have her back, because all she had to do was look at them "with those eyes and that smile...it was love."

This is a true story of a miniature pig that wasn't. When Esther outgrew their old house, Steve and Derek bought a farm and called it Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary. Now Esther has plenty of space to roam around and get into mischief. And they have room to rescue other animals --- including dogs and chickens and a duck named Moby. Steve and Derek have made Esther the Wonder Pig into a social media sensation. You can follow her exploits at this website: www.esherthewonderpig.com.

This is a delightful story told about a delightful pig, enhanced with delightful illustrations.

Enjoy!
